You can use the filters to specify your taxi. Taxis not matching the selected filters will appear transparent.

To order a specific taxi through HOPIN, simply mark it on the map and click “Continue with Order”.

You can specify your location by moving the map, or you can manually enter your location by typing your address, or by selecting your location from favourite addresses.

You can find all the information relating to your order in Order Details. You can edit /add the information. We recommend that you fill in your name and the destination of your journey.

You can set your destination by selecting it on the map, entering it manually by typing the address or by selecting it from the favourite addresses.

You can change your location on the map in two ways, by moving the position of the figure icon or by entering the address of your location.

1. Changing your location by moving the position of the figure icon.

The figure icon will lift from the map and ask you to set the start of your journey. At the top, in the middle, you can see the current address of the selected location. (see Fig. 2)

Set a new location (point of pickup) by sliding your finger on the map. (see Fig. 3)

Click on the figure icon to confirm the newly selected location. (see Fig. 4)

2. Changing your location by entering the address of your location.

Click on the figure icon (see Fig. 1) and then on the magnifying glass icon. (see Fig. 5)

Type the address (point of pickup) in the top line and confirm it either by clicking the magnifying glass icon or by selecting “Enter” on your keyboard. (see Fig. 6)

Then select from the available addresses the one that corresponds to the point of your pickup. (see Fig. 7)

After selecting the desired address, the figure icon will move on the map to that address. (see Fig. 8)

In case that your GPS position in the HOPIN app differs from your actual location, we recommend to test your GPS position in another application (e.g. Google Maps) and compare them. If your GPS position is incorrect in both applications, your device has a poor GPS reception. It means that your device works with an old GPS positioning or that your GPS position was obtained from other support localizers that are much less accurate.

In this case, we recommend to check your GPS position settings on your devise and set it to either high accuracy or to enable all options that may increase the accuracy of GPS positioning of your device.

The accuracy of GPS positioning is affected by many factors, such as weather, the quality of GPS positioning received by your device, whether you are indoor or outdoor, or other interfering signals.

The ideal situation is when you place an order outside in good weather. If you place an order indoors, you always have to make sure that your position displayed in the application is correct. If it is incorrect, it has to be changed manually.

By registering you create your own profile, which will store all your settings, such as favourite drivers or addresses. With this profile, you can also log in to any other devices and use the app with your settings as usual.

Registration is also necessary, if you wish to use cashless payments (card payment), where you can add different payment cards to you profile.

After you start the application, click on the four-line menu icon on the bottom left. (see Fig. 1)

You will see a menu, where you have to click on “Profile”. (see Fig. 2)

Then click the blue button “Login/Registration“. (see Fig. 3)

In the “Email” field, type the e-mail address that you want to use to register (or log in) and in the “Password” field, type the password that you want to use to register (or that you have entered in registration for log-in). To confirm this data, click the check icon the bottom right. (see Fig.4) After confirmed, the app will automatically create your account and you will be logged in.

When using the cashless payment method, you do not pay the fare in cash but it is debited directly from your bank account. To make this possible, you need to have a payment card registered in the application.

Registration of your payment card in the application will allow you to use the cashless payment method. You can register your payment card as follows.

After you start the application, click the four-line menu icon on the bottom left. (see Fig. 1)

This will open a menu, where you have to click on “Cashless Payment”. (see Fig. 2) Before that, you must log into your customer profile, otherwise you will not be able to register your payment card. (see “How can I register/log in“)

Then click the plus icon at the end of the line “Add new card”. (see Fig. 3)

After clicking the plus icon, all kinds of payment cards will be displayed. Select the kind of card you want to register. (see Fig. 4)

You will be redirected to the payment gateway of the ČSOB bank. (see Fig. 5)

In “Choice of Payment Method”, complete all the necessary information about your payment card. (see Fig. 6) To complete the registration, click “Pay EUR 0.01“. This transaction amounting to € 0.01 is required to verify your payment card.

You will be informed after your payment card is successfully verified. (see Fig.7) If the verification of your payment card is unsuccessful, check the correctness of data entered.

After closing this window, you will be redirected back to the application. (see Fig. 8)

After you start the application, select the option on the bottom centre “Continue with Order”. (see Fig. 1)

You will see the details of your order. There is an option “Pay by Card“ on the bottom centre If this box is black, this option is inactive and after you submit the order, you will pay the fare to the taxi driver at the end of your ride in cash. (see Fig. 2)

After you click “Pay by Card”, this window will be highlighted in blue. (see Fig. 3) This means that at the end of your ride you will pay the fare using your payment card. To send your order, click “Submit Order” on the bottom centre.

If you forget something in the taxi, you can contact the taxi driver within two days after the successfully completed order.

To contact the taxi driver, click the four-line menu icon displayed on the bottom left after you start the application. (see Fig. 1)

In the menu, select “Order History”. (see Fig. 2)

In Order History, select the order related to the lost property. (see Fig. 3)

This will open a new window where you can rate the taxi driver and where you click “Contact the Driver” on the bottom left. (see Fig. 4)

Write a message to the driver in the line and send it by clicking the blue check icon at the end of the line. (see Fig. 5)

After sending you will be informed that your message has been sent. (see Fig. 6)

NOTE: It should be noted that the taxi driver might not be working at that time and therefore may not respond immediately.

If you suspect that your ride was overcharged, you can contact us and we will check it. If overcharge by the taxi driver will be proven, we will draw consequences. You can report suspected overcharge by clicking the four-line menu icon on the bottom left after you start the application. (see Fig. 1)

In the menu, select “Order History”. (see Fig. 2)

In Order History select the order that you suspect was overcharged. (see Fig. 3)

This will open a new window, where you can rate the taxi driver. (see Fig. 4)

To be able to send a report on suspected overcharge, you must first rate the taxi driver. Give the taxi driver a low rating (1 or 2 stars and click “Rate”. (see Fig. 5)

NOTE: Once you give the taxi driver a low rating, the text above the stars will change to “This taxi driver will no longer be displayed during automatic ordering”. In the future, when you place an order, which does not directly concern a taxi driver on the map, your order will not be placed to taxi drivers to whom you gave low rating (1 or 2 stars), even if they would be closest to you.

Then you will see options of your complaint, where you need to select the “High Price” option. (see Fig. 6)

Type the fare price in the window. If you transported luggage or an animal, select the relevant option. To submit your request for price checkup, click the check icon at the end of the line. (see Fig. 7)

When using the HOPIN TAXI app, your device battery is mostly drained by GPS in your device, which locates your position. When not using the application, switch it off together with GPS in your device. Switch off the application by selecting the “BACK” button on your device. GPS module can be disabled in your device settings.

You can see the ghosts on the map if any of your filters are switched on. The ghosts (transparent taxi drivers‘ icons) are the taxi drivers who do not match your filter criteria and who will not accept your order after it is submitted.

When the four-line icon on the bottom left is highlighted in blue, it indicates that some of your filters are active. (see Fig. 1)

AIf you want to check your active filters, click on the four-line icon and then on the filter which is highlighted in blue. In our case, we have selected the “Other Preferences” filter and then the “Non-smoker” filter. (see Fig. 2)

In this case, please check whether all filters are switched off (see “Why do I see transparent taxi drivers’ icons on the map”). It can happen that you have active filters that only match a few taxi drivers who are too far from you to accept your order.
Also, after you create an order, please do not cancel the search straight at the beginning (after a few seconds) for the system to be able to reach a number of drivers, which can increase the chance that your order will be accepted by any of the addressed drivers.

The HOPIN TAXI app allows you to order a taxi for a specific time (pre-booked order), up to 1 day ahead. How to place a pre-booked order is described below. After you start the application and set up your starting position (point of pickup), click “Continue with Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 1)

In Order Details, click “Show More”. (see Fig. 2)

This will open advanced settings of your order, where you click on the blue pencil icon in “When”. (see Fig. 3)

Then set the time when you want the taxi to pick you up. Set the time by using the icons located above and below the hour and minute window. (see Fig. 4)

After setting the time, click “Confirm the Time of Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 5)

After confirmed, you will see the pickup time set up in the “When” window. When you have completed all the information correctly, click “Submit Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 6)

After submitting the order, you will be informed that your order has been received and that you will receive the information on your taxi 10 minutes before pickup. (see Fig. 7)

After this message is confirmed, the system will ask you whether you wish to add the pre-booked order to your calendar. If you click “Yes”, you will be redirected to your calendar. You will be able to save a reminder that will remind you of your pre-booked order in time. (see Fig. 8)

An alarm icon at the bottom left will inform you that you have an order pre-booked for a specific time. (see Fig. 9)

To cancel a pre-booked order, click on the alarm icon on the bottom left. (see Fig. 1)

After clicking on the alarm icon, the application will ask if you wish to cancel your pre-booked order. To cancel the pre-booked order, click “Yes”. (see Fig. 2)

You can order more than one taxi (e.g. for more people) as follows.

After you start the application and set your starting position (point of pickup), click “Continue with Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 1)

To set the number of taxis, a maximum of 3, click “+1”. After setting the number of taxis, click “Confirm the Number of Taxis” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 4)

The system will then ask whether you really wish to order more than one taxi. To confirm, click “Yes”. (see Fig. 5)

After confirmed, you will see the number of taxis ordered in the “Number of Taxis” window. When you have completed all the information correctly, click “Submit Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 6)

You can order a taxi for 5-6 people as follows. After you start the application, click the four-line menu icon on the bottom left. (see Fig. 1)

In “Filters”, select the “Car Type” filter. (see Fig. 2)

To activate the car type filter, click “6 + 1 seat van” (see Fig. 3)

To go back to the map (home screen), click the back arrow. When the four-line icon on the bottom left is highlighted in blue, it indicates that some of the filters are active (in our case, it is the multi-seat vehicle filter).(see Fig. 4)

Activation of the “6 + 1 seat van” ensures that your order will only reach multi-seat vehicles available. To create and submit the order, click “Continue with Order” on the bottom centre. You will be redirected to Order Details, where the application will inform you that you have an active filter “6 + 1 seat van” and ask whether you really wish to order a multi-set vehicle. (see Fig. 5)

Click “Yes” to complete all the necessary information about your order and then click “Submit the Order” on the bottom centre. (see Fig. 6)

How to recommend HOPIN via promo code?

First, open HOPIN app and go to Menu. Then open Promo codes. There you find your personal promo code. Share this promo code with your family and friends. When new customer enters your promo code in the app, he receives €10 free credit for rides with HOPIN. After he rides with us for the first time, you receive €5 bonus credit as a thank you. Bonus credit will be automatically added to your account.

First 5 successful recommendations are rewarded by €5 bonus credit as a thank you. After 5th successful recommendation, the reward decreases by €1 for each new customer as far as €1 bonus credit.
